As I am getting ready to attend the wedding of my friends Randall and Rebekah. I am reflecting about celebrating the special moments with your friends and family. I am very excited about celebrating the special day on the marriage of my friends. How many times do we think only of ourselves? We don't think to celebrate in the happy times with your family and friends. How many times do we get occupied by our own things. I want to be a person who can put myself aside to celebrate the special moments in the life of my family and friends. I don't want to be a person who is always consumed on myself or consumed by material things. I don't want to be someone who is always about working and neglecting my friends or my family.
I took today and wrote a letter to one of my nephews my middle nephew. we have always been really close and had a special bond. I took care of him when he was a little boy, taught him how to play basketball, talked to him when he was sick and made him sprite. I last saw him at my older nephews wedding last January and spent some quality bonding time when he wanted his Aunt to come with him to pick out a shirt for my nephew's wedding.
I have not seen him after that since I live so far away. I want to be the kind of Aunt who writes to him and stays in touch. I guess it stems from love and compassion but also the fact that I grew up without Aunts and Uncles myself as well. I always wondered what life would be like if I had Aunts and Uncles who loved me and wanted to share in the special moments in their life. My middle nephew's first daughter Isabella and celebrate these special moments in my friends and families lives.

"Juggling working from home, college and being a single parent."
I learned that taking on too many things at once can get pretty overwhelming. I need to keep a schedule to balance everything out. I can do the things that need to be done. I first get up in the morning, get Rylee dressed, breakfast made and get her off to school. I then start my day by working out each morning. after my work out I begin my bible college homework and start getting that done.
I then take and begin to work but allow myself a specific amount of time for a break. I work while my daughter is in school. then when she gets home I take care of the necessary things that need to be done such as helping her with her homework, taking her to basketball practices. She will soon be starting her basketball games.
There is a few things I need to work on when it comes to balancing so not one area gets neglected. I don't know about you but I tend to be over balanced in some areas and under balanced in others. I feel like by taking some time to set up a routine on every area will help me get everything in balance.
I think in a lot of ways being a single parent is tougher than being married. When you are married there are two of you to tackle things. For me its one me:)

"Katie's Story": How I Came to be A Work At Home Mom."
Being A single parent since 2003 I have been raising my daughter on my own. I wanted to be the parent who was involved in her life and in her day to day life. I wanted to be able to provide for our needs Spiritually, Emotionally, Physically and Financially.
My mom when I was growing up was an on again and off again stay at home parent. I was left with a babysitter when she was working or my sister. Some days my mom was home when I got home from school when she was home.
and when she was working she wouldn't get home until about 5:00 pm in the evening.
I also know that being the solo parent in my daughter's life she really needed me. I wanted to find a job where I could set my own hours and my own schedule. I could work while Rylee is in school and quit when she comes home.
So working from home is the perfect fit for me. It is easier for me to juggle going to college taking online classes part time, working part time while Rylee is going to school. Be able to stop when Rylee comes home from school.
I love the Joy of being home when Rylee comes home from school, the Joys of being able to help her with her homework and see her begin her first year playing for the Kingston Junior Lady Jackets, being there to cheer her on in her practices and at her games.
